Course Outline

Aims

All non commercial and non-large aircraft , need to comply with changes to the regulations that alter the way Certificates of Airworthiness/Airworthiness Review Certificates are issued and remain valid. By including Subparts G and I we can offer a more rounded picture of what is required of organisations and individuals involved with these aircraft.

Objectives

This course will enable participants to understand the relevance and inter-relationship of these three regulatory areas and apply a practical approach to help attendees implement the new requirements in the workplace. We will include mini-workshops, enabling them to appreciate how a Maintenance Organisation Manual is compiled as well as understanding the principles of the new ‘Organisational Review’ required of Subpart F companies.

  • Introduction to high-level applicable regulations, including the role of EASA and Continued Airworthiness in a regulatory environment

  • Airworthiness and Continuing Airworthiness concepts

  • EASA Part M overview, particularly Subparts B, C, D, E and H

  • Detailed review of Subparts F, G and I

  • Practical examples of PART M implementation and how to avoid potential problems and how to put in place a Subpart F compliant organisational structure

  • Mini-workshops on how to compile an MOM and develop an ‘Organisational Review’

  • Interface between subpart F and all other subparts as well as Part 21

  • Related management of EASA approved changes (Modifications and Repairs)
